North West Coaching Circle - Transactional Analysis as a Coaching Model

When someone engages our service in order to help them change something which is as they would not like it to be,  they are in fact asking us to help them, either identify what needs to change, and help them change it  or help them change something they have already identified.

Transactional Analysis can quite quickly and easily be taught to most people, and can become the shared working model between coach and coachee.

During the evening I will introduce to Ego States as defined by Eric Berne the founder of T.A., and hopefully, for the willing and brave, assist you to identify your own  helpful, and unhelpful application of Ego States when working ,or those of a client you may be struggling with.

I will also introduce you to Games we all play in order to gain strokes.  In T.A. the ‘stroke economy’ is seen as vitally important for health and well being. 

I will also explore how T.A. fits in with other models of change such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and NLP.

Although T.A. may not be as current as CBT or NLP it does have current application. 

If you are a Star Trek fan you will, after our session you will easily be able to identify the Ego States of Mr Spock and Captain Kirk. Batman and Robin,  and as the pantomime seasons starts many of the characters in popular and long standing fairy tales. Where the authors the first T.A. therapists? Oh! Yes, they were!    Oh! No ………….you know how it goes!!
